Vending At The Daylily Festival In Gray, GA Was A Great Experience. I Was Very Impressed With Staff. They Were Informative, Specific, Helpful And Friendly. The Location For The Event Was Perfect. Most Of The Vendors Were Wonderfully Shaded By The Enormous Pecan Trees.
I Would Like To See The The Coordinators Screen All Vendors For Handmade Goods Before Acceptance In The Future. There Were Quite A Few Large Corporation Sellers Vending That Seemed Inappropriate For A Local Festival. I Think It Would Be A Great Thing For The Daylily Festival To Make Sure All Vendors Are Selling Original And/Or Handmade Goods. There Were Resellers There Of Items And The Quality And Origin Was A Bit Suspect.
Items Seemed To Be Pretty Reasonably Priced. Even Food Vendors Were Pretty Affordable. The Had A Great Variety Of Food Vendors. Fried Oreos Were A Real Treat To Taste For The First Time And They Were 5 For $3.00 I Also Purchased A Large Zesty Onion Blossom For $6.00 Can Drinks Were $1.00 And Ribeye Sandwiches Were $5.00
I Have To Mention One Of The Best Parts Of The Festival And That Was The Portable Bathrooms And Portable Sink Stations That Were Set Up. They Were Wonderful! All Fully Stocked And Plenty To Accomodate Everyone! This Is Definitely A Big Reason Why I Will Be Vending At This Festival Again Next Year!
There Were Only A Few Musicians And Not Much Variety In That Venue, However I Am Hopeful They Will Be Able To Incorporate More Talent For The Next Year. It Is Always Nice To Hear A Little Bit Of All Kinds Of Happy Music At A Festival. They Had A Huge Kids Area Set Up With Many Activities. Including Large Slides, Jumpers, Rock Wall, And Bungee Jumping. It Was $20.00 I Believe For An Armband For All, Which Seemed A Little Bit Expensive To Me. However, They Did Offer Ticket Options And Pricing. They Also Had A Teddy Bear Walk, A Train, Pony Rides And Sparky The Firedog Was There On Friday.
All In All I Really Think This Festival Is A Great Event To Attend. Vending There Was An Enjoyable Experience That I Hope To Participate Again Next Year. The Staff Is Eager To Make This Festival A Great Thing And You Can Tell They Are Genuine About It! Which Leads Others To Also Care More And Strive To Make It Great As Well. I Wish The Daylily Festival And Gray GA The Very Best For Many More Years To Come.
